Community Policing Initiative
The Village of South Holland and the South Holland Police Department are continuously striving for community involvement to help make our community better. That is why the South Holland Police Department has developed The Community Policing Initiative. The Community Policing Initiative for our Village allows the community and the Police Department to work together to keep our crime rate low and to improve the quality of life for our residents through monthly meetings.
Community Policing Meeting Schedule:
Daytime Meeting:
2nd Tuesday Every Month
10:00am to 12:00pm
Evening Meeting:
4th Monday Every Month
7:00pm to 9:00pm
Meeting Location:
South Holland Community Center
501 E 170th Street
Meeting dates are always posted on southholland.org
Community Policing is all about two-way communication between residents and police, and the South Holland Police Department is pleased to continue to enhance this initiative with the announcement of a new meeting schedule.
The South Holland Police Department hosts two (2) Community Policing Meetings every month: one daytime and one evening, for the convenience of residents.
Community Policing meetings are open to all South Holland residents and will address the concerns of the Village of South Holland as a whole. The new schedule falls within the purview of our new Community Relations Initiative to allow the entire community an opportunity to work with the Police Department. Community participation helps us keep crime at a historically low rate and ultimately improves our quality of life.
