Did you know that the South Holland Police Department provides a safe zone for online transactions? Residents are allowed to use the police lobby as a public area to conduct transactions from online websites, such as Craigslist, Facebook, and Letgo. The department began offering this space as a way to provide a safe environment for people to conduct the exchange of goods purchased online.

If a resident decides to use the South Holland Police Department to perform an online transactions, please notify staff in the Records Office by calling 708-331-3131, option 2.

***The following are not allowed in the South Holland Police Department (no exceptions):

• Weapons of any kind.
• Gas driven machines, such as lawn mowers and snowblowers.
• Gasoline or other hazardous material.
