Blowing/Shoveling Snow in Street is Hazardous
Did you know that blowing or shoveling snow into the street could create a hazard? This activity could endanger you and your family when the melting snow freezes, causing the road to become slippery. It is best to blow or shovel snow into the lawn area of your property.
Also, please be mindful that all vehicles should be removed from the street when there is snowfall of two inches or more so that Public Works can thoroughly and safely plow village roadways. For an emergency, dial 9-1-1; 331-3131 or 331-3123 for non-emergencies. As always, on behalf of the South Holland Department of Public Works, thank you for your support and cooperation. Be safe and well this winter season.
