National Day Out (aka National Night Out) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

I believe it’s so fun. Night against Crime is safe for people to get to know the police officers better. When children trust the police… they know someone is there for them. The relationship between an officer and a person in the community will help build a safe place in lives. I love going every year. So I can learn something from the Police Department. In my future… when I become a cop, I want my community to be the ones coming first. Being partners with someone in town or wherever they live… I want everybody to know if they came to the right place. The place where I always want to be is the National Day Out. Asking a police officer a question like… what is National Day Out? He or she will tell you your answer and that would make you so interested. Being part of a community forever.
