South Holland Community Center
501 E 170th Street
Because communication is the very essence of our strength as a Village government, morning and evening Mayor’s Coffees are held quarterly at the Community Center.
This is to provide an informal opportunity for residents to meet with Mayor Don De Graff and other Village officials to ask questions and share comments and concerns.
General questions and comments are always welcome at Mayor’s Coffee. The meeting is open to the public.
Special Guest: Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP)
The Village of South Holland was recently awarded a Local Technical Assistance Grant by The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to develop a Comprehensive Plan for our Village. A comprehensive plan is a written document formally adopted by the Village Board of Trustees that contains goals, objectives and strategies for the future development and conservation of the community. As the name suggests, the plan will be complete, thorough, and will build on the already established Vision 2022 plan, but encompassing broader elements and a longer period of time.
It is designed to be a long term “road map” for community growth, and as such requires the input of many community stakeholders. Accordingly, during this Mayor’s Coffee, CMAP will engage South Holland residents to gain their feedback prior to the drafting of the plan. Please join us to help us chart the future of our great community!
